There isn’t one yet. But Rockstar has shipped six console-first titles since 2008, and the gap between console and PC is the most consistent thing about them. Here is what that pattern points to.
Short answer
Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. The confirmed November 19, 2026 launch covers PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
Based on how long the PC port took for every Rockstar console-first release since 2008 — a 12-to-19-month gap in the modern era — the realistic window is late 2027 to mid 2028. Our single best guess is autumn 2027, roughly a year after console launch.
This is a projection from precedent, not a leak and not an announcement. Nobody outside Rockstar knows.
01The gap, every time
Six titles, one pattern. The wait has never been shorter than seven months for a console-first Rockstar release, and never longer than nineteen — until the Red Dead 1 outlier, which was a decade-late re-release rather than a port.

Two things would move this: an announced PC version at any point before launch (Rockstar has occasionally confirmed ports early), or a delay to the console release itself, which pushes everything downstream.

04Questions people actually ask
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Almost certainly yes — every mainline Grand Theft Auto has eventually reached PC — but Rockstar has not announced it. There is no PC version listed for the November 19, 2026 launch.
Can I pre-order the PC version?
No. There is no PC SKU to pre-order anywhere. If a site is taking money for a GTA 6 PC pre-order today, that is a reason to close the tab.
Why does Rockstar delay PC versions?
Console exclusivity windows are worth money, PC porting takes engineering time that the console launch consumes, and a staggered release lets Rockstar sell the same game twice to the same enthusiast. None of that is likely to change for GTA 6.
Will GTA 6 come to Steam or only the Rockstar launcher?
Unannounced. RDR2 launched on the Rockstar launcher and the Epic Games Store first, with Steam following roughly a month later. A similar staggering would not be a surprise.
