GTA 6 Trailer 3: when and how to watch An Extended Look
Rockstar premieres the third GTA 6 trailer twice on the same day — first on Netflix, then free on YouTube six hours later. Both times, both platforms, and a straight answer on whether you need a subscription.
Short answer
You do not need Netflix. An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27, 2026 at 3 PM ET, and goes live free on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel the same day at 9 PM ET — six hours later.
Netflix subscribers see it first. Everyone else waits six hours and pays nothing. There is no third platform and no other window.
01Both premieres, both times
The same video, released twice. The gap is six hours, and it is the only reason a subscription matters at all.

02Do you need a Netflix subscription?
No. This is the question everyone is asking today, and most write-ups answer a different one — why it is on Netflix, rather than whether you have to pay.
What the subscription actually buys you
Six hours. That is the entire difference. A Netflix subscription gets you the trailer at 3 PM instead of 9 PM on the same day, in the same quality, with nothing extra attached.
If you already have Netflix
Watch at 3 PM. Nothing to set up — it appears on the platform like any other premiere.
If you do not
Do not sign up for one video. Wait until 9 PM ET and watch it free on the Rockstar Games channel, permanently, with no account of any kind.

Where this one sits in the series
Trailer 1 landed in December 2023. Trailer 2 followed in May 2025. An Extended Look is the third, and the first to premiere on a platform other than Rockstar's own channel.
04Questions people are asking
Is Trailer 3 actually coming out?
Yes. It is announced, dated and scheduled on two platforms. This is no longer a rumour — the question was open for months, which is why search results still carry a lot of speculation written before the announcement.
Will there be another trailer after this one?
Unknown. Rockstar has not announced a fourth. With roughly twelve weeks between An Extended Look and launch, another one is plausible, but nothing supports it yet.
Will GTA 6 cost $200?
No. The announced editions are $79.99 standard and $99.99 Ultimate. The $200 figure comes from speculation about hypothetical bundles, not from Rockstar or any storefront.
Does the trailer change the release date?
Not by itself. November 19, 2026 stands, and Rockstar has said there is no further delay. If the trailer states anything different we will update this page and mark the change with a date.

Once the trailer is live on YouTube at 9 PM ET on August 27, this section becomes the breakdown: the video embedded here, plus every concrete claim it makes — dates, locations, characters, mechanics — each with a timecode so you can check it yourself.
Nothing gets written into it from second-hand reports. If it is on this page after the premiere, it is either visible in the trailer at a stated timecode or published by Rockstar directly.
